Passed away at Lightways Hospice, Thursday, September 1, 2022 after batteling Alzheimers for the last several years. Born October 2, 1941 in Joliet, Illinois. She was the daughter of Russell and Louise (Gonda) Wiseman.

Survived by her husband of 56 years James R. Yahnke. Two daughters Barbara (Pete) Valek and Judy Barnes. One granddaughter Ariana (Robert Blessen) Camacho and her two great-grandchildren Ava Blessen and Robert James Blessen. One sister JoAnn Brogan.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond Wiseman and sister Ruth Ann Montana.

Mary was born and raised in Joliet and grew up in Ingalls Park. She graduated from Joliet Township High School Class of 1959. Mary worked several waitressing jobs, and retried from Green Glen Nursery. Jim and Mary retired to Lake of the Ozarks the summer of 2006 where she could have her fishing pole in the water every day, read her books on the dock, volunteer and play bingo. Mary was a lifelong member of Ingalls Park A.C. where she was President of the Auxiliary. After moving she found volunteering for the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Laurie, MO.

Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Thursday September 8, 2022 from 3:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Friday September 9, at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers memorials to Lightways Hospice in Mary's name will be appreciated.
