Mercedes Delgado – passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, with her loving family at her side. Age 78.

Survived by her husband of 54 years, Clemente Delgado Sr., her son Clemente (Lorena U.) Delgado Jr., her daughters Maria Quinn, Mercedes (Juventino) Ambriz, Francisca Delgado, Lorena (Ruben) Chavez; her grandchildren Alysia, Ariel and Alexandra Quinn, Elsa Yesenia, Micaela, Monica and Galilea Delgado, Isabel, Cristian, Yazmine and Evelyn Ambriz and Agustin, Raquel, Alfonso, Rosalia, Damian and Joaquin Chavez and 4 great-grandchildren. Her brothers Angel (Rita) Gomez, Rafael (Nina) Gomez and Ramon (Lorenza) Gomez, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents Miguel and Maria Del Refugio Gomez and sister Luz Gomez.

Mercedes had a strong faith and attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church regularly. She loved spending time in her garden and especially when her grandchildren joined her. She loved to cook and enjoyed when her kids cooked for her as well. Mercedes was a mom and grandma to many. Her greatest love was her family and spending time with them meant the world to her.

Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Tuesday, January 14th at 10:00 A.M. to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 404 N. Hickory St., at 10:30 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
