Michael D. Menne - passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with Stage 4 Melanoma, Thursday, November 11, 2021. Age 58. Survived by his loving wife Barb J. (Shadowens) Menne, daughters Samantha J. (fiancé Matthew Moreau) Menne, Kathryn E. (fiancé Matthew Todd) Menne, his dad James Menne Sr., his sister Mary (John) Annis and brother John (Jayne) Menne. Preceded in death by his mom Patricia (Gregory) Menne and brother James Menne Jr. Mike proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a graduate of Joliet Township High School West Campus class of 1981 and attended Northern Illinois University. Retired Electrician IBEW Local 701. Mike was an avid Bears and White sox fan. He loved being outdoors, working in his vegetable garden, and took exceptional care of his yard, being the envy of the neighborhood. He enjoyed baseball and softball for many years. Mike loved their vacations to Charleston, South Carolina but his greatest love was his family and spending time with his girls. A celebration of life will be held in the spring at Maurie's Table, Joliet, IL. Funeral arrangement under the care of Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory.
