Obituary

Milda Memenas joined her mother, father, and brother in her home of Eternal Glory on 07/21/2023. Milda was born to Jurgis and Rozalija (nee Vezys) Memenas on 11/24/1934 in Anyksciai, Lithuania.

She was the cherished sister of the late-Rev. Vytas Memenas. As a child, Milda, accompanied by her parents and brother, fled Lithuania on foot during World War ll. Despite seeing the ugliness of the world, Milda grew and embraced everything of beauty. She was an avid collector of fine art, a master seamstress of impeccably handmade clothing, a lover of classical music, and an avid reader. Perhaps her most beautiful quality, though, was that of her immense faith and her praise of God, especially in that of trying times.

Milda, who was not afraid to break glass ceilings, achieved her Masters Degree in music from Roosevelt University in 1960. She spent decades sharing her talent through teaching piano to numerous students in the Chicagoland area. She will certainly be remembered for her tremendous grace, humility and class.

Milda is survived by those who enjoyed her wisdom through storytelling and shared her immense love for music and history. "Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs." Psalm 100:2.
