Obituary

Monika Hale-Cleaver of Shorewood Glen, formerly of Custer Park, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center, Thursday. April 21, 2022. Age 81 years. Survived by her daughter Laurie (Mike) Huska of Shorewood. Two grandsons, Brett Hale and Dylan Huska. Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Frank J Hale Jr and her husband of I I years Harold "Dean" Cleaver. Monika was born February l , 1941 to the late George Friesing and Ava Hager in Worms, Germany. Monika and Frank enjoyed entertaining family and friends every weekend at their house on the Kankakee River. Monika's love of people continued in Shorewood where she taught line dancing with Dean. Her love of dogs led her to volunteer at the Will County Humane Society. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from loam to 12pm. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation. Private inurnment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials to Meal Ministry for Families in Crisis or Will County Humane Society will be appreciated.
