Netta M. Gladkowski (nee Oldani) Age 100, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on October 9, 1914 in Cuggiono, Italy she resided in the Rockdale/Joliet area. Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Edward C. Gladkowski (2010); her parents, Louis and Felicita (nee Tapella) Oldani; a sister, Genevieve Bertino and a brother, Joseph Oldani. Survived by her loving daughters, Diane (Daniel) Janovyak and Joyce (Timothy) Selfridge; her grandchildren, Chad and Scott (Julie) Selfridge and Chris Janovyak; her great0grandsons, Jacob and Jonathan Selfridge; two sisters-in-law, Betty Oldani and Pat Gladkowski; many nephews, nieces and cousins also survive. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lakewood Nursing Center and the loving care the Joliet Area Community Hospice provided to Netta during her final days. Visitation for Netta M. Gladkowski will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Friday morning, May 29, 2015 beginning at 8:30 am until 10:30 am, with a funeral mass at the St. Ambrose Church, Crest Hill at 11:00 am.
