Passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Age 87.\r\nSurvived by his loving wife of 67 years Jean A. (nee Ball) Danhoff; three children Gail (Ken) Soltis, G.J. Pete (Barb) Danhoff and Joanne (Roy) Vicich. Five grandchildren Kim (Gary) Vandagrifft, Kevin (Lorie) Soltis, Kris (Franklin) Kilburn, Zoe and Abbi Vicich. Six great-grandchildren Garrett and Wil Vandagrifft, Samantha Kaye and Nathan Soltis, Heather and Nicholas Kilburn. Also survived by nieces and nephews. His shadow and companion Cheeto.\r\nPreceded in death by his parents Sam and Kate Danhoff and a sister Arlene Scorby.\r\nVeteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Retired from Owens/Illinois and Kerr Glass. Member of First Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon and an Elder at the church. Member of VFW Cantigny Post 367 and Elks Lodge 296. He also volunteered at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Enjoyed woodworking, golf, bowling, fishing and was an avid Cub fan.\r\n
