Patricia "Pat" Carnovale (nee Karnik), age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. She was born on August 9, 1938 in Berwyn, IL and was the oldest of three children of Frank and Barbara Karnik. Pat was a graduate of Morton High School and worked for many years, advancing to Personnel Manager for a major retail chain. She will always be remembered for her laugh, smile and sweet disposition. She is survived by her two children, Frank (Kathleen) Carnovale and Gina (Todd) Bucciarelli; Her eight grandchildren, Christina Carnovale, Brandon Carnovale, Gina Carnovale, Nico Bucciarelli, Marco Bucciarelli, Christopher Bucciarelli, Tom Magnarelli and Michael Magnarelli; Her sister Susan (Edward) Lode; Her niece Tiffany (Dane) Jeurissen; Numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friend Elaine Maladra. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruno: and her sister, Karen. Pat's family would like to thank the special caregivers who touched her life in such kind and compassionate ways, Jurate Siskuviene, Ausra Balsiene, everyone at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home and Joliet Area Community Hospice. A Memorial Mass will be held on June 5, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, Hinsdale, IL. Inurnment will follow at Bronswood Cemetery, Oakbrook, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home would be appreciated.
