It is with deep sadness and grief that we share the unexpected news that we have lost our beloved son and brother, Patrick Michael Callahan. Pat arrived in the world on May 9th,1988 and left us on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026.

Patrick is survived by his parents, Joan (Lamb) and Michael Callahan, his sister Maureen, her husband Nick and their daughter Lily Rutkowski, his brother Brian, his wife Nikki and daughter Riley Callahan, as well as his many Lamb and Callahan aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pat arrived into the world with enough spark and energy to keep us on our toes at all times. His smile and bit of a rascal disposition told you he was up for anything coming his way. Patrick attended Hardey Prep at the Schools of the Sacred Heart, Loyola Academy and DePaul University. He spent most of his adult life in California which he loved much. Nature was his happy place. Life presented many challenges to Pat but he met them head on as best he could. He was inquisitive, intuitive, intelligent, and creative. Patrick was an imaginative writer and wonderful artist who left his mark around the City of Chicago. He was a skilled athlete, making the soccer varsity team as a high school freshman and a premier soccer travel team. Patrick loved his family and friends with passion and depth, and he was greatly loved in return. We are heartbroken as he left too soon, but we treasure our memories and are grateful for stories being shared by those who were part of Pat's journey. He is at peace and will always be part of us.

Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Schools Chapel, 6250 N. Sheridan Rd. Chicago, IL Saturday, August 8th at 10 A.M. Memorial Visitation held at Driehaus Center located on Sacred Heart School property at 6200 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, Friday August 7th from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M.
