Paul Jay Dixon - of Joliet, Illinois made his homecoming on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 after a protracted illness. He was born April 6, 1947 to Elmer and Mary Eloise Dixon in Peoria, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 50 years, his two children Susan (Greg) Renoe of Columbia, Missouri and Michelle Dixon of Joliet, Illinois and five grandchildren; Nate, William, Ryan, Alexandra and Evan. He is also survived by his three brothers Loren Dixon, Don (Sandra) Dixon and Steve (Lori) Dixon.

Preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Eloise Dixon and his sister Jeannette Ice.

Paul was a faithful servant of the Will County for 30 years as a sheriff's deputy, retiring as a Lieutenant.

Family and friends will celebrate Paul's life and all things Bears and Cubs on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd. from 3:00-7:00 PM and Monday, September 25, 2023 with a visitation from 9:00 AM until time of services at 10:00 A.M.
