Paul J. Kennedy
age 72, passed peacefully with his daughters at his side on March 25, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital.
The youngest of 3 boys to Helen and Edward Kennedy. A lifelong resident of Joliet, graduate of Joliet Catholic High School, and member of Will County Carpenters Local 174.
Paul, known to many as Turkey, was always happy when he was "wrenching" on motorcycles and cars with his buddies nearby. His friends were his other family. He loved "snooping" around, going to swap meets, and finding those unique bike & car parts. Paul truly enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a supportive dad to 3 daughters, always checking in and listening to them, and trying to instill nuggets of know-how. He had a special place in his heart for his 3 granddaughters. He made sure they went to their share of the car shows, bringing them treats on a regular basis, and simply loved hanging out.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brothers – John (Jeannie) and James (Geri).
Paul is survived by his 3 daughters - Paula (Craig) Werner of Canton, GA; Kelly Kennedy of Chicago, IL; Cheryl (Vinny) Kennedy of Joliet, IL. His 3 granddaughters held a special place in his heart – Erin Werner, Macy Werner, and Ava Kennedy. He also loved his sister-in-law, Merrily Kennedy and his nieces and nephews.
