Phillip M. Good - passed away peacefully at the age of 76, with his loving family by his side, Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Born in Chicago April 24, 1947. Living in Joliet for many years.
Phillip worked at Smurfit-Stone container company as a roll stock handler, and drove a fork lift truck till his retirement. Phillip was an avid fisherman and chess player. He loved his dinners with his daughters and enjoyed watching his grandson play football for Joliet Catholic Academy. Phil loved spending time with his family, holidays, birthdays and school events for his grandchildren.
Phil use to love to ride his motorcycle with his late wife Teresa, attending Poker Runs and fundraisers with ABATE Motorcycle Club. He was a drag strip driver, racing his 1970 Nova and 1971 Nova at the US 30 Drag Strip and attending some at Union Grove Drag Strip in Wisconsin. Phil just went on a bucket list trip to South Dakota, where he saw the badlands, mount rushmore and spent time with his nephews Bill and David. Also visiting with his nephew Charley was special to him. Phil enjoyed traveling to Florida with his daughter Sherry, son-in-law Tony and his grandchildren. He loved his evening dinners with his daughter Tina.
Survived by his two daughters, Sherry (Tony) Torrens and Tina Volpi; grandchildren Gabby Torrens, Marco Torrens, Lucas Torrens, Tiffany Volpi, Ronnie Volpi, Tony (Carley) Volpi. and four great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Special friends Bill, Galand, Jerry, Dennis, Gene, Pearlie, Chuck, Larry and Dennis.
Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Anna Good and his wife Teresa Good.
Funeral services will be held at Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory,
2320 Black Road Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park II. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. For information call (815) 744-0022 or visit www.CHSFUNERAL.com
