went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet, Illinois with his loving family and friends by his side. Age 71 years. \r\nSurvived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years Jean Luna (nee LaFever). His dear and caring children Debra Morris, Sue (Lou) Purkart, James Luna. Jr. and Carl (Jayme) Luna. His precious grandchildren Christopher Morris, Amber Purkart, Little Carl and Anthony "AJ" Luna. His great-grandchildren Little Chris Vetter, Justin Morris and Glenda Morris. Five sisters Loretta (George) Sparks, Juanita Gilliam, Cleo Farley, Sue (Will) Qualls, Ruth (Jack) Simmons. and two brothers W.H. (Elise) Luna and Amerce (Judy) Luna Brother-in-law Arvel LaFever, Sisters-in-law Nola (Zack) Hickey, Thelma Weaver, Linda (Philip) Brown and Terri LaFever all of Tennessee. Also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.\r\nPreceded in death by his parents Floyd and Henri Luna, his sister Lois Bumbolough. His father and mother-in-law Beecher and Bertha LaFever, Brothers and sisters-in-law Gertrude and Herbert Tollett, Ray LaFever, Reba Dodson, Carl "Shine" LaFever and Roosevelt LaFever.\r\nBorn August 4, 1937 in Sparta, TN. and has lived in Joliet for over 49 years. Jim retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. after 40 years of service.
