Ralph R. Swanson – passed away peacefully, Monday June 14, 2021 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehab. Center. Age 87 years. Survived by his children Janis (John) Braasch, Randy (Charlene) Swanson and David Swanson; his sister Beverly Moffat and six grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Pauline and his parents Ralph and Hattie Mae Swanson. Ralph was a member of the Will County Carpenters Union 174, he was a board member of Shady Oaks Camp, he also served on the boards of Church of the Good Shepherd and Covenant Community Church of Lockport. Ralph loved to fish, and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. Family was very important to him, especially spending time with his grandkids. A favorite pastime was watching the Chicago Bears with his son David. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held Friday June 18, 2021 at Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road, Joliet, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials in Ralph's name to Shady Oak Camp will be appreciated.
