Raymond R. Blaskey - age 82, of Joliet passed away peacefully Saturday, morning February 18, 2023. He was born on April 20, 1940, to Frank and Katherine (nee Makula) Blaskey in Lockport.

He was a graduate of Lockport Township High School before moving to Joliet where he married his wife of 51 years, Barbara, and raised their family, While he enjoyed cooking, his regular calls to friends and family, and some of the simpler things in life; the thing that brought him the greatest joy and could always put a smile on his face were his grandchildren.

He is survived by his three children; Frank (Tricia) Blaskey, Elizabeth Blaskey, William (Diane) Blaskey; grandchildren Joshua (Erin), Brianna, Lauren, Erin, Mackenzie, Jenna, and Cayden Blaskey. Also survived by two sisters Jan (late Robert) Pope and Shirley (late Dennis) Myers; sister-in-law Cathy Blaskey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara (nee Gross) Blaskey; four brothers Frank ( late Margaret), John (late Penne), Lawrence and Eugene Blaskey; two sisters Helen (late Robert) Sartori and Lillian Blaskey.

The family would like to thank the staff at River Crossing of Joliet for their compassion, care and friendship for those that knew him well.
