Obituary

Of Joliet, formerly of New Lenox, passed away peacefully after a brief illness Monday, September 9, 2013. Age 70. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years Linda Karen (nee Soderberg) Hodge; three daughters Karen (Dennis) Knutson of Newark, Karla (Michael) Baggett of New Lenox, and Kristen (John) Feigl, Jr. of Shorewood. Dearest grandfather to Matthew Baggett, Nathan Knutson, Kyle Baggett, Noah Charles Knutson, Kayla Feigl, Neal Knutson, Grace Feigl and Jack Raymond Feigl. One brother and best friend Allan Hodge of Monticello, IN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Born July 7, 1943 in Joliet to the late Allan and LaVoughn (nee Lindquist) Hodge. Married the love of his life June 13, 1964. Retired from Pride-in-Graphics as bindry foreman after 35 years. An avid outdoorsman who loved fishing. He loved cooking and baking. The family would like to thank Dr. Vincent Benig for the compassion and care given to Ray. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Friday, September 13, at 10:00 A.M. Rev. David Nygard and Rev. Kurt Hoover officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00-8:00 P.M.
