"Rich" – Passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Heritage Manor Health Care. Age 89 years. Survived by five sons Rick (Mary), David (Mary), Jimmy (Tina), Jerry (Kathi) and Randy (Cathy) Grossklaus. Six grandchildren Kristen (Mike) Johnson, Ryan Grossklaus, Loni (Brian) Fazio, Daniel Grossklaus, Kara (Steve) Camarda and Breeanna Grossklaus. Five great-grandchildren Khloe and Kaleigh Johnson, Giana Fazio, Blake an Paige Camarda. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his wife Edna Grossklaus (2001), his parents Edward and Mary Grossklaus and a brother Wayne Grossklaus. Born in Joliet and lifelong Crest Hill resident. Veteran of the US Navy serving in the Aleutian Island. Retired Union Machinist from Humphrey and Sons Machinery. Member of the Chaney Progressive Club and a life member of Stone City and an avid fisherman. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials to Vitas Hospice will be appreciated. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-8 PM.
