Passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. Age 74 years.
Richard is survived by his sister, Charmaine Cuccia, nieces Phyllis (Glenn) Pemble and Beth (Jeff) Cuccia-Reilly of California; also surviving is one great nephew, Phillip Pemble, three great nieces Mareea Pemble, Alexandria Reilly and Amelia Reilly.
Preceded in death by his father Mike Minella, mother Inez Minella and his loving soul mate and companion of 38 years Mary Ann Pourchot. Richard is also survived by May Ann's children, Mark (Paula) Pourchot, Corrine "Corky" Pourchot and Troy (Sandy) Pourchot; also surviving seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Richard proudly served in the United States Army receiving the Bronze Star Medal for heroism in ground combat in Vietnam.
He was a member of International Painter's Union for over 30 years, retiring from Champion Drywall; Richard was a huge Chicago sports team fan especially the White Sox and Blackhawks. He was a loving and caring person and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Wednesay, July 5th at 12:00 Noon. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to Will County Humane Society 24109 Seil Road Joliet, IL. 60404 or Joliet Area Community Hospice 250 Water Stone Circle Joliet, Il. 60431. Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 10:00 A.M. until service at 12:00 Noon.
