Robert Mathew Ennis, Jr. – passed away peacefully at his home in Plainfield, Monday, September 21, 2020, after a long illness. Robert was born February 2, 1939 in Lansing, IL. to Robert M. Ennis, Sr. and Ella Ennis. He graduated from John M. Carroll University with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics/Engineering. Robert worked for diverse technical companies in his lifetime including Oak Ridge National Laboratory (TN), American Magnetics, Inc. of Oak Ridge and Hughes Aircraft Co. in CA. in engineering sales, design and developed several patients while at Hughes. Most recently he was employed at Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, IL. as a laboratory technician for their Atlas project. Robert was father to Timothy, Robert M. III and Mary Ann from his first marriage to Patricia Ennis. He is survived by his children and his former wife and final caregiver Mary C. Schnibben. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ella.
