Robert graduated from Joliet East High School in 1973. He was a Welder at Caterpillar for 30 Years. He was an avid fisherman who felt most at home on the water especially at Newton Lake and Evergreen Lake. If he wasn't out on the lake, you could still find him on his boat, happily casting a line and enjoying the peace it brought him. A longtime member of the South Wilmington Sportsman Club and he treasured the friendships and memories made there. Beyond fishing, he found joy in gardening. Tending to his plants with the same patience and care he showed in all parts of his life.
He loved taking his family on trips to Disney World, where his big kid at heart spirit shined brightest especially riding rollercoasters. Whether playing board games around the table or lending his skills as a handyman to anyone in need, he was always happiest when he was with his family.
