Passed away at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Age 84 years. Survived by his wife of 56 years Barbara J. Legner (Talaga) of Crest Hill and his sister Betty Savage of Wilsonville, OR. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Two sisters-in-law Barbara E. Legner and Wilda Arlone Legner. Preceded in death by his parents Leo and Elizabeth Legner, two sisters Elnora Roesel (January 11, 2016) and Vivian Legner (1922). Two brothers Norman and Kenneth Legner. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War. He retired from Mobil Oil Refinery in 1992. Bob was an active golfer with his friends from Mobil Oil and shot a hole-in-one at Inwood Golf Course. He was actively involved with online computer baseball league. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Monday July 18th at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
