Robert H. Whittam – passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Age 84 years. Survived by his children Robert (Carrie) Whittam, Frank (Laura) Whittam, Tracey (Kent) Chitwood and Patricia (Patrick) Dowling; grandchildren Claire and Anna Chitwood, Henry and Will Whittam, Joey, Jackie and Ellie Dowling and the eighth grandchild due in February; sister-in-laws Mary Deneen, Patricia Hawkins and one nephew William (Sammy) Whittam. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Whittam and his brother Joseph Whittam. Robert lived in Tinley Park most of his life, he was a Credit Analyst with Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He was a proud United States Marine serving in the Korean War. Robert was best known for his multi award winning for decorating his house for Christmas. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed by his family. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Tuesday, August 29th at 11:00 A.M.
