Rodolfo 'Rudy' De La Rosa Vasquez, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024 at the age of 57.

Rudy was a proud veteran of the United States Army and an active participant of Pen Pals for Veterans. He was fun loving and could be found fishing, crafting, playing billiards, darts, bingo, and the slot machines. At home, he tended to his chinchillas and dog, Sheba.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Vasquez and Estella Kowalski, and brothers Ramon, Roger, Robert, Rodney, and Ronald Vasquez.

Rudy is survived by his loving siblings Ramiro, Crisela, Orlando and sister-in-law, Deb. He was the fond uncle of Richard Vasquez, Raymond (Cecelia) Vasquez, Eddie Street, Jennifer Vasquez, Ernesto Puga III, Monique (Michael C.) Puga, Brandon Vasquez, Melissa Vasquez, and Joshua Vasquez. Rudy was also blessed to be the great-uncle to many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 11:00-12:00 at Carlson Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory (2320 Black Rd., Joliet). A Memorial Service, with military honors, will begin at 12:00.
