Passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Silver Cross Hospital. Age 70. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years Edith Flatten, a daughter Stacy (Ed) Bargas, grandchildren Eric (Ashly) Bargas and Tyler Bargas and Blair Flatten Jr., one great grandson Landon Bargas. His sisters JoAnn (Richard) Briesath and Darlis Klawvis, two brothers Arlyn (Donna) Flatten and Verland (Sue) Flatten. Preceded by his son Blair Flatten, his parents Archie and Palma (nee Johnson) Flatten. Born November 15, 1942 in Spring Grove Minnesota. Ron retired from Caterpillar after 35 years of service. Ron was a member in many clubs, Joliet Masonic Matteson Lodge #175 A.F. & A.M., Belmont A.C., Ingalls Park A.C., Elks Club and the Joliet Moose Lodge 300. Masonic services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road Joliet, IL 60435, Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 6:00 PM. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3:00 PM- 7:00 P.M.
