Ronald (Ron) H. Warnsdorfer-Passed away at his home, Thursday, October 29, 2020, with his family by his side. Ron was 82 years old.
Ron is survived by his high school sweetheart/wife of 59 years, Joyce (Knoblock) Warnsdorfer, his sister, Penny Strausser, daughters, Lisa (Dan) Doggett, Denise (Joe) Sohovich, and Alison (Andy) Eaker. His grandchildren, Joey Sohovich, Tyler Eaker, Josh Sohovich, Jessica Sohovich and Nick Eaker. His niece, Debbie (Darryl) Lamaestra, nephews, Norman (Robyn) Strausser, Scott Strausser and Chris Strausser.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Emily (Cady) Warnsdorfer, and his brother in-law, Norman Strausser.
Ron was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from South River High School in June 1958. He loved the Jersey Shore and in his younger years, was a soap box derby racer.
Ron served in the Army from February 9, 1962 and was honorably discharged on January 31, 1968. He was a Sergeant of Combat. During his service he was awarded the honors of Good Conduct Medal, Sharpshooter, Army of Occupation Medal (Berlin) and expert Gunner. Following his military service, Ron worked as service representative for IBM for 30 years and then continued his employment at Electro-Rent.
Ron was a selfless man and a friend and "father" to many, always putting others before himself. Ron adored his children, grandchildren and his furry buddy, Mario. He will be truly missed by all who loved him.
