Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Age 74 years. Survived by his loving wife of 42 years Doris S. (nee Valdivieso) Wolz; his children Roslyn (Alex) Castro, Roelf (Danielle Knowles), Joseph (Kimberlee); David and Yolanda Wolz. Four grandchildren Jael, Sebastian, Sophia and Austin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by a son Courtney Wolz, his parents Arthur and Margaret Wolz, two brothers and a sister. Veteran of the US Marines Corps; graduate of Joliet Catholic High School Class of 1958; retired from Caterpillar. Member of the American Legion Post 1080, Royal Order of Scotland, an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, a 32nd Degree Mason and life member of the Matteson Lodge #175. His life passions were gardening, the Masons and Linguistics; he could speak 10 different languages. Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Saturday, August 23 2014 at 9:30 A.M to the Cathedral of St. Raymond's for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M.
