Rosalie M. Sternisha (nee Alfeo) Age 97 years, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Edward Hospital in Naperville with her family by her side. Born in Carini, Sicily on June 20, 1918 and resided in Joliet most of her life. She was known as "Mrs. Carsons" having been employed at Carson-Pirie-Scott in the Louis Joliet Mall for over 20 years. Member of the SNPJ. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank C. Sternisha; her granddaughter, Patti Fall; her grandson, Tony Sternisha; her son-in-law, James Fall; her sister, Frances Flammini and her parents, Paul and Rosa Alfeo. Survived by her loving son and daughter, Frank P. (Mary Jo) Sternisha and Rosalie (late, James) Fall; dearest Noni to Frank (Nicole) Sternisha, Gina (Casey) Kilimnik, Theresa (Joseph) Rapp, Anna-Marie (Douglas) White, Rosalie (Michael) Fink and Stephanie (Brandon) Harris. Cherished Great-Noni to Derek Sternisha, Grace Gerich and Anthony Kilimnik; Stephen Rapp, Christine (Brad) Workman, Craig, Austin and Tyler White; Andrew and Gabriella Fink; James and Lucy Harris. Also survived by her brother, Sam (Norma) Alfeo and her sister, Jennie (late, Omero) Mannarelli. Numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 9:15 am to the Church of St. Anthony for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm.
