Rose M. Venegoni (nee Lovati) Age 98 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. Born in Joliet on November 29, 1916. Rose was a former co-owner of Dan's Candies. She and her husband Maurice were original and founding members of St. Mary Magdalene Church. She was an active member for many years, serving as sacristan and Eucharistic minister. Member of the CCW of St. Mary's and was named Woman of the Year for the parish. Preceded in death by her husband, Maurice S. Venegoni (1997); her parents, Primo and Angela (nee Berra) Lovati; two brothers, Thomas and Louis Lovati and one sister, Frances Garavalia. Survived by two sons, Maurice R. (Judy) Venegoni and Richard (Cynthia) Venegoni; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation for Rose M. Venegoni will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 127 S. Briggs Street Joliet on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 beginning at 9:00 am until time of mass at 10:30 am. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
