Sally A. Macholl Milas

Beloved sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away at her residence on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the age of 71.

Sally is survived by her loving sisters Linda (Ken) Clymer and Patricia Hodges and brothers William (Michelle) Macholl and James Macholl. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews will forever cherish her memory.

Preceded in death by her husband Theodore W. Milas (2007), her parents John R. and Lois G. (nee Culverwell) Macholl, her brother John Macholl, a sister-in-law Connie Macholl and brother-in-law Tom Hodges.

Born on October 7, 1952, in Chicago, Sally spent her formative years in Streamwood. Sally and Ted moved to Elgin in the 1980's when they bought their home on Devonshire Circle. Sally was a 1970 graduate of Larkin High School. Sally dedicated her career to the Illinois Department of Corrections, retiring in 2018 after 20 years of service as an account technician and bookkeeper. Known for her commitment as the family caretaker, Sally selflessly tended to the needs of her parents, brother, and husband. Her nurturing spirit extended to her hobbies, where she found joy in crocheting.

Memorial services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials to Morning Star Mission or a food pantry of your choice in Sally's name will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 7th from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
