Sandra L. Maher (nee Keenan) – passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Age 77.

Survived by her son Danny (Jayne) Maher, daughters Janice (Thomas) Russell, Melissa Maher, her brother Thomas (Teresa) Keenan and sisters Carol (Robert) Kaufman and Sharon Domanic. Her grandchildren Heather Russell, Lauren Russell, Jenna Maher, Daniel Maher, Kaitlyn Maher, Michael Maher and great-granddaughter Nova Jaudon.

Preceded in death by her parents John and Edna Keenan, her husband Thomas Maher and son John Maher.

Sandy was the baker at Joliet West High School. She loved baking and cooking, especially for her family. She was the ultimate hostess for all the gatherings. Sandy enjoyed spending time at the beach and the casino. Sandy's family and her Irish heritage meant the world to her. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Thursday, January 29th at 12:00 Noon.
