Shirley Mae Jacksa

(nee Meyerhoff)

passed away on her 99th birthday, February 9, 2023 at Rock Run Place, Joliet.

Born in Joliet on February 9, 1924 to the late, Harry A. and Irene (nee Clark) Meyerhoff.

She was employed for many years as an executive secretary for the EJ&E Railroad.

Preceded in death by her husband, Martin L. Jacksa (2014).

Survived by her niece, Gayle (Richard) Lorenz; her nephew, Gary (Anne) Eicholzer; her great-niece, Kathryn (Natalie Meckstroth); her great-nephew,

Andrew (Kelly) Vernon and by her special cousin, Monica Berard.

Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 9:30 AM until time of service at 10:30 AM. Pastor William C. Ryden officiating.

Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery
