Sophie Hanson (nee Hudek) – Passed away peacefully, Friday, December 12, 2014, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Age 85. Survived by her loving husband of 64 years Jack Hanson; two daughters Cynthia (David) Miller and Jacqueline (Ronald Jacobson) Hanson and a son James (Sheelah) Hanson. Four grandchildren Justin Miller and Sarah (Josh) Marshall, Reed and Jack Jacobson. Three great-grandchildren Michael and Tyler Marshall and Emily Miller. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her parents Harry and Dorothy Hudek; six brothers and three sisters. Former member of St. Mary Assumption Catholic Church. Member of Jackson County Homemakers. Retired from Iverson Florist as a floral designer. Sophie Enjoyed gardening and cooking. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Entombment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM.
