Tammie L. Moon

(nee Parkhurst)

Age 63 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Born in Chicago, Il on July 12, 1959

She was employed as a CNA for Joliet Terrace Nursing Home and then for 10 years at the Joliet Walmart.

Preceded in death by her parents, George and Joan (nee Matthews) Parkhurst; a brother Timothy Parkhurst and twin brothers, Merle and Earl Parkhurst; Two best friends, Penny Baron and Lorna Ardaugh.

Tammie is survived her husband, Charles F. Moon III; three sons, Mark (Robyn) Moon, Charles (Cindy, Fiancee) Moon, Joshua (Brittany, Fiancee); six grandchildren; two sisters, Terri Castleberry and Traci (Juan) Nino; two brothers, Thomas (Vronda) Parkhurst and Trent (Katrina) Parkhurst; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Tammie was a loving, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and she loved to spoil her grandchildren with her holiday shopping. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road Joliet, on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 3:00 pm until time of service at 6:30pm.

Private Inurnment will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial in Tammie's name to Lightways Hospice would be appreciated.
