Thomas Leroy Tibble – Passed into the arms of his heavenly father, Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Age 81.

Left in the void of his absence are his loving wife of 41 years, Edith, sons Thomas (Dori) and Brian (Danette) Tibble. His loving nephew Michael (Jenny) Tibble. His grandchildren Thomas, Kelsie, Savannah, Maggie, Brian, Emma and his 3 great-grandchildren. Thomas is also survived by his siblings Ron Tibble, David (Lorri) Tibble, Elizabeth (Don) Cantwell, Janet (Don) Robinson, Terri (Doug) Ceci, and sisters in law Marietta Richardson and Charmain (John) Shinker. Brother in law Wally (Pam) Erickson.

Thomas was welcomed into eternal life by his parents Vernon and Anna Tibble, mother of his children Minerva Tibble, brothers Vernon, Robert, William, Donald, Michael, sister-in-law Glenna Eungard, brother-in-law Butch Erickson, and nephew Bobby Shinker.

Thomas retired, after 30 years of service, as a Captain with Statesville Correctional Center. He was a friend of HUMC, loved to fish, enjoyed traveling, was an avid Cubs and Bears fan, enjoyed road trips, watching General Hospital, and visiting zoos. "We don't care how long we live, as long as we live until we die".

Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Tuesday, October 24th at 4:00 P.M. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 until time of services. For information (815) 744-0022 or www.CHSFUNERAL.com
