Obituary

Passed away suddenly at her home in Joliet, Thursday, Mary 11, 2006 with her beloved dog Peachie at her side. Age 85 years.\r\nLoving mother of Bonnie and mother-in-law and best friend to her son-in-law Dennis Siebert of Shorewood, IL. Son Charles G. Schoenknecht and partner Ward Paul of Grand Rapids, MI. Proud grandma to Sarah Siebet of Shorewood, IL. She was also Aunt Ro to numerous nieces and nephews. She considered Katie and Alez Bunce, Anne Rub of Shorewood and Travis, Taylor and Tucker Tharp of Boulder CO. All her "adopted" grandchildren.\r\nPreceded in death b y her husband Charles A. Schoenknecht, her parents George and Clara Koehl, her siblings Rita and Ray Starmann, Donna Smith, George and Marge Koehl and William Koehl, her godson and nephew Raymond Starmann.\r\nBorn August 17, 1920 in Beverly, IL. Ro attended the Academy of Our Lady Chicago and Mount Mary in Milwaukee. She was a 42 years breast cancer survivor. Ro enjoyed going out and always had a very demanding social life, with her daily stop at Cherry Hill Caf and Friday night dinners at Thayer Bros. Restaurant. She was also an avid Chicago sports fan, always having a great stroy to tell and a contagious sense of humor. She will be deeply midded by all who knew her. \r\nMember of many women's organizations including Women of the Moose, Ingalls Park Women's Auxillary, American Legion Auxillary. In her younger days she was a volunteer at Trinity Services. The family would like to thank Small World Transporation, Ann Thayer and the Thayer Bros. Restaurant and Cheryl and Reely from the Cherry Hill Caf for their kindness to Ro.
