Verda R. Gerbert (nee Herron)

Age 93, born October 17,1932, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 after a long journey with illness.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Marty) Bee, her sons Mark Gerbert and Christopher (Goody) Gerbert, her grandchildren Eric (Valerie) Bee, Kevin (Rachael) Bee and Ryan Bee, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 50 years Phillip Gerbert, her parents Roy and Sadie Herron and her sisters Dolores (Donald) Cox, and Wanda (Jerry) O’Shea.

Cremation rites have been accorded per Verda’s wishes by Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital will be appreciated.
