Virginia "Jean" Wrona

Born: June 23, 1940

Died: February 24, 2023, Crest Hill, IL

Born in Joliet, 82 years ago, one of thirteen children. She as all her siblings, were the most proud of their parents. They always did their best to raise their children to be kind, loving, responsible adults. She was most proud of her parents accomplishments. Half of her siblings graduated from higher learning. All worked hard to raise their families. She felt we all did what Mom and Pa would be so happy for.

Virginia graduated with her RN, Bachelors and Masters Degrees. She was a nurse educator in Illinois, Texas and Ohio for 36 years. Her true beauty came from the joy her patients and students gave her. Jean was a lover of nature and loved to travel.

She is survived by her brother Leonard (Pat) Wrona and sisters, Delores Wrona and Christine (late, Lawrence) Peterson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Wrona; seven brothers, Walter (late, Irene) Wrona, Edward (late, Theresa) Wrona, Joseph (late, Dolores) Wrona, Raymond (late, Ida) Wrona, Fred (late, Claudia) Wrona, Bernard (Janet) Wrona and Chester Wrona. Two sisters, Valeria (late, Louie) Zupancic and Mary Ann (late, Daniel) Dillon.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date and Jean will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
