Wayne A. Steinquist "Red" Age 77, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph's Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born in Joliet on December 21, 1939, he was a life-long resident. Wayne retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company after 40 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, fishing, going to casino's, racing and he was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and Chicago Cubs fan. Preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Steinquist; his parents, Arthur and Laura (nee Geske) Steinquist; four brothers, Earl, LaVerne, Ronald and Virgil Steinquist; three sisters, Carol Carney, Sharon Benge and Ardith Rutherford. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Jeanine M. (nee Mance) Steinquist; his children, Denise (Garry) Colbert, Tammy (Jim) Relyea, Jim Blazekovich, Kathy (Chris) Nash, Cheryl Markley and Wade (Stacy) Steinquist; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one sister, Velda Doyle and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 10 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery.
