Wendell "Buddy" Mathison Jr.– Passed away suddenly as a result of an automobile accident, Thursday, March 31, 2016. Age 64. Survived by his loving wife of 40 years Debra Mathison, two daughters, Christina (Dwight) Jackson and Amanda (Ray) Burger; four grandsons Willie Mendez III, Cayden Burger, Brandon Turley and Dalton Schraer; two sisters Mary (George dec.) Drakos and Pam Pomykala. Preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Suzanne Mathison (1986) and his parents Wendell and Gloria Mathison. Owner of E.W.P Pallet Co., also Buddy was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. He has a heart of gold and went above and beyond when it came to his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Interment Maple Hill Cemetery in Elwood, Il. In lieu of flowers or gifts please make donations to his "Buddy's Grandsons Education Fund" at BMO Harris Bank. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3:00-8:00 P.M. In Buddies honor please wear your favorite Cubs attire.
