Wilfred Buchanan "Freddie"

Of Plainfield, Wilfred Buchanan passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the age of 89.

He is survived by his loving nieces, Anna L. Edwards and Mary C. Heisse; nephews, Frank E., John M., and Robert F. Heisse; grandnieces, Sara L. Edwards and Victoria Heisse; and grandnephews, Edwin, Jack, and Luke Heisse.

He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Myrna and Edwin Heisse, and his parents, Oran and Bernice Buchanan.

Wilfred was a devoted and beloved uncle, remembered for his kind spirit and quiet strength. He was cared for with great compassion by Eddie Senger and April Groth, and was cherished by the Jourige and Engel families.

A man of intellect and calm presence, Wilfred enjoyed watching sports, staying informed with the news, and engaging in thoughtful research. His warm presence and thoughtful nature will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
