Willa Mae Amos "Granny Dang" Age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Born on November 27, 1920 in Louin, Mississippi to the late James and Phoebe Shelby and moved to Joliet in 1939. She is survived by her loving daughter, Carolyn Sue Amos of Joliet; her grandchildren, Drusilla Fuller of Wetumpka, AL, John Parker III, Gregory Amos and Felicia Michelle (William) Brady all of Joliet. A host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren and a special cousin Ora V. Nobles. She previously worked for the Joliet Arsenal, Hines Veterans Hospital and retired from Rexnord Bearings in Downers Grove, IL. Granny Dang was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She will be truly missed. Preceded in death by her husband Frank and a sister, Martha Beavers and a great-grandson, Matthew Parker. Visitation will be held at the Refuge Mission U.H.C.A. 531 Sehring St. Joliet on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 9:00 am until time of services at 10:00 am. Pastor Mae J. Ellis officiating. Interment Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates in Lemont.
