William Edward Anderson, Jr.

Formerly of Joliet and a resident of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away peacefully at the Sugar Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Normal, Illinois, after bravely battling dementia for several years. He was 77 years old.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Leola "Lee" Anderson (nee Ferguson, Mrazek). He cherished his family, including his son William E. (Jenny) Anderson, daughters Kristin (Chuck) Morgan and Tara (Sam) King, as well as his two step-sons Brian (Melissa) Mrazek and James Seifert. Two step-daughters Stacey (Norman) Heartsfield and Karrie (Kevin) Fitzpatrick. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bill is also survived by his brother Steven (Ann) Anderson and four sisters Marylynn (Don) Confiliano, Barb Wolcott, Janet Anderson, and Shirley (Chris) Boetto.

He was preceded in death by his parents William E. and Mary (nee Ochs) Anderson.

Born on June 2, 1947, in Joliet, Bill earned his bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University. He began his professional teaching career as a junior high school math and social science teacher in Plano, IL. before dedicating 40 years to a successful career in Real Estate Title Insurance as both an Examiner and Searcher. Bill was a lifelong golfer and an active member of Christ the King Episcopal Church in Bloomington.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Friday, October 11th at 5:00 P.M. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated. Memorial visitation will be held Friday from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M.
