of Joliet, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the age of 86.

Bill is survived by his five children, Kathleen Riney of Joliet, Linda Jo Blakeley of Rockford, Laurie June Weber of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Barb (Mark) Sloggy of Arkdale, Wisconsin, and Daniel Blakeley of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his brother, Ron (Rosemary) Blakeley of Covington.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Donna Blakeley, and his parents, Arthur and Rosema Blakeley.

Bill was born on September 30, 1939, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and graduated from St. Regis High School. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an operating engineer and was a proud member of Local 150 for 57 years.

Bill found great enjoyment in fishing and hunting. He especially treasured the peaceful moments spent outdoors and the memories made with those closest to him.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date
