Passed away with his family at his side, at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, Sunday, January 15, 2017. Age 71 years. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years Mary Burton (Nee Lagrimini), son Michael (Christine) Burton and daughter Kristy (Joe) Masters. Proud papa to four grandchildren Alex and Emily Burton, Allison and Ava Masters. A sister Margo Burton. Preceded in death by his parents John and Martha Burton, two sisters Mylla and Sally Burton. William was born in Rensselaer, IN. on January 20, 1945. He moved to Joliet with his family and met his wife. Veteran of U.S. Army. William loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing at the beach club in Plainfield, hunting, playing horseshoes and gardening. William has a small engine repair shop at his home for many years.
