William Dean Davis – passed away peacefully at Lightways Hospice, with his loving family by his side, Sunday, July 10, 2022. Age 91 years.
Survived by his son Steven Michael L. (Patty Silverman) Davis, daughters Kimberly Jo (Thomas C.) Ferguson, Elizabeth Ann Davis and Lynne Marie (Charles Timothy) Campbell. Grandchildren Eric Davis, Dana Skedel, Kelly Pina, Jared and Erin Brooks, Emily and Laura Villafranco, Joshua and Becky Campbell; great grandchildren Addison and Blake Davis, Nia and Nolan Skedel, Connor Rijkse, Kenleigh Pina, Lorelai and Adam Brooks, Rylee and Trevor Campbell and Annabel, Mack and Abby West. His sisters Marion Hester and Betty Spencer.
Preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, on November 5, 2021, Meredith (Gray) Davis, his parents William and Emma (Hamlin) Davis and his siblings James Davis, Helen Arnott, Jean Ferrari, Leslie Davis, Paul Davis Carol Lotzman and Leroy Davis.
William worked at Electro Motive Division of General Motors for 34 years after which he worked as a carpenter until he retired in 1999. William proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he excelled as a sharp shooter. He served from November 5, 1953 and was transferred from USMC-SS to MCR with service until November 5, 1959. He was a Deacon of Maple Lawn Christian Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir, and serving all areas of the church. Bill enjoyed woodworking, gardening, making train sets and model airplanes for his children and grandchildren.
