William R. Fleischauer . passed away at Lightways Hospice with his family always by his side, on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Age 83. He is survived by his wife of 60+ years of marriage, Marie (Brandolino), his daughter Melissa (Tom), his sons Bill (Linda), Mike (Tonia) and Joe (Wendy); 11 grandchildren Rachael (Anthony), Nick, Jacob, Jessica, Emily, Madison, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Tony, Ryan and Nathan. Also surviving his brother Robert (Debbie) Fleischauer, and sisters Rose Madison, Carol (Steve) Maas and Mary (David) Quigley. Preceded in death by his parents Ray and Rose (Astorino), sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara and Nick Brandolino Judy and Bob Carrol, infant brother and sister and grandparents. Bill graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1957. A Veteran of the U.S. Army 1961-1963. He was retired from Olin Corp. and Crossfield Chemical. Bill was very much a family man. He loved his grandchildren and was very proud of them. He also loved the Cubs and the Blackhawks. Bill's family would like to thank Lightways Hospice for the great care he received. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM.
